Not so good at this...

Okay, so I have officially decided that I am a horrible blogger. I just don't seem to have time for everything I want to do everyday. Have you ever noticed how much work it is to be a mom. You have to try so hard to keep it all together all the time. It is almost impossible to do. I have to have a perfect house all the time...I want to spend all my time with my kids...I want to blog...I wish I wasn't sooo behind on putting pics in albums (forget about scrapbooking them)...and I still want time to go to the gym maybe a few times a week....along with endless other items on my list of things to do. I just wish there were more hours in the day.

Conversation I heard Sydnee having...

Sydnee: I like my dad better.

Other Child: Why?

Sydnee: My mom has none money. My dad has all the money and buys me whatever I want... (he only buys her things if he asks me if it's okay first..)

Other Child: Yeah. My mom doesn't have a job.

Sydnee: Mine doesn't either. My dad has a job and all the money. He always takes me to Mcdonalds. I like him better. (WHAT!!! Raising two kids, taking care of the house, cooking, laundry, etc. etc. etc. is more than a full time job..Where is she getting this from!! WHATEVER MISS SYDNEE..ha ha!!)

Libby Lu!!!

The girls were invited to a birthday party at Libby Lu...THE FUNNEST PLACE EVER!!!!! The kids got to choose their dress up outfit. Then the people at the place did their hair, nails, and make-up..complete with glitter. The girls were then able to choose accessories to go with their outfit. They completed the night with a fashion show and dancing in the main part of the mall...It was soooo cute and they had a blast. Definetly a must for all your girly girls!!!!

Award time..

Ariana's Principal honored her at school with a certificate and teddy bear for donating her hair to Locks of Love...

Moments that make a mom proud....

My lil' Ariana has been growing her hair out for some time and it was all the way to her waist. She decided to cut it all off and donate it to locks of love. Locks of love makes wigs for children with cancer etc. She cut off 12 inches. I was a little sad because I am such a girly girl and I love fixing my babies hair in lots of cute ways. But I am so proud of my little girl..Way to go Ariana~~~~

Roller rama

The girls were invited to a birthday party at Crystal Palace, the local skate rink. Kind of reminds me of the one in Wellington..old and beat down, but fun!! They had a blast and they looked so cute...yes, I crimped their hair. I know, I am dork. I was sticking with the theme!!!!

Sydnee needed a little help from Daddy at first...

Drive In Time

We have an old drive in here in Las Vegas that is still up and running. But, now you tune your radio to a specific station instead of putting the little speaker on your window. Well, every year about this time we try and hit the drive in with the kiddos as much as we can. The weather is good (we don't melt cuz the Vegas heat is starting to come to an end) and we love being outside watching a good kid flick. So we took the kids over the weekend to see Igor (I don't recommend it, it was a little too morbid for my liking). They were asleep within the first hour. John and I finished the movie off and then drove over to another screen to enjoy an adult movie while the kids slept next to us in the back of the truck on a blow up mattress. It was a blast!!!

School Days

We had a meet n greet night at Ariana's school the week before school started. Her teacher just posted this pic on the class website so I stole it so I could post it here..ha ha!! It was a good night. Ariana has an amazing 2nd grade teacher and I am so thrilled that she got to be in Mrs. Cayer's class. Although we have TONS of homework every night. :(

Toothless Wonder

Ariana lost her third tooth tonight. This little bugger has been loose for almost 6 months and no matter how much she wiggled it, it would not get any looser. Well, she decided she had enough of that crazy tooth. She came home from school and started biting down hard on an apple. Then wiggling it as hard as she could between bites. She worked on her tooth for about two hours before it was finally ready for me to pull it out. I kept telling her to leave it alone and wait until it was ready but she was determined to have that thing out and some money under her pillow in the morning!!!!

First Days of School

I wanted to post some pics to celebrate both of my girls first days of school. Ariana started 2nd grade on Aug. 25th and Sydnee just started preschool yesterday. They were both excited on their big days....I was not so much. I just can't believe that I have a 7 year old and that my baby is 4 and already old enough for preschool. I have to say though that my sadness did not last too long. I had 3 hours to myself so I went to the gym and then got a pedicure...I took full advantage of my alone time. But, I sure was happy to pick my Sydnee Lou up from school.

Girls night in...

Daddy worked late one night so the girls and I gave ourselves pedicures. It is so fun to have girls because then they can join you in your girly rituals. So we picked colors and decals we wanted and went to work. We had a blast!!!

Princesses....

My girls had their annual recital in June..I know I am behind. They did so well. Ariana's dance was a tap number to "Fabulous"...she was so excited to do a High School Musical song. Sydnee did a tap number to "Hey Good Lookin'". Watching them dance makes me so proud!!!

The happiest place on earth.....

We took the kids to Disneyland...FINALLY!! We have planned this trip and cancelled this trip three times now. Either because of illness or weather. So John's cousin was getting married in Newport Beach and we could not be THAT close to Disneyland without going. I have to say it is soooo awesome. Just as much fun as when I was a kid. I loved it just as much as the babies did. My girls were so brave and rode all the rides and just had a blast. The wedding was amazing too. They got married in this cute little Christian church in Newport and then the reception was on a huge boat that cruised Newport Harbor. It was so beautiful...the sunset was breathtaking. I told John that I found the place I will retire. There was something so calm and peaceful about Newport Harbor. I LOVED IT!!!!

Dancing Queens!!

Okay, so my two girls came running out of each of their OWN dance classes so excited. They both began to tell me about dance auditions for the competition teams that were going to be held that Saturday. My first thought was NOOOOO. My babies are too young to be auditioning and then not make it. How would I mend their little tiny broken hearts. But, they were insistent and would not let it go so I gave in and let them audition. Now I know how my mom felt when i tryed out for cheer. My heart was pounding, my hands were sweaty, and my stomach felt sick. They were so smiley and showing their little personalities...I think they get that from me!!!! We had to wait a whole week to find out the results. That was such a long week. Sydnee kept asking me "Mommy did I win?" Well, they both made their teams. Ariana is on the first and second grade team called the Hot Tots and Sydnee made the 4 year old team called the Bon Bons. So in addition to their dance class they take once a week and the recital once a year they will be in two or three competitions that are extrememly relaxed and very low key. They are excited and ready to win a trophy or two. I am so proud of my little dancing queens!!!

Row Row Row your boat!!!

So I finally gave in. Yes, yes....my dear sweet husband has been begging me to buy a boat for too long now. I finally felt that my little sweet peas were old enough to begin their adventures on the lake. So we took the plunge and bought a boat. We have been out a few times now and I have to admit that we are having a blast!!! It brings back many childhood memories at Lake Powell. And the girls are loving every minute of it. Now if I could just get them swimming....it will be non-stop life jackets for now..
